Hayley Thompson
Assistant Headteacher
Hayley started her teaching career in 2004 teaching Science in a comprehensive school in Bradford. She has always been passionate about teaching and learning and believes schools have the power to shape individuals and futures.
In 2005, Hayley was credited with Advanced Skills Teacher status to recognise her skills and expertise as a classroom practitioner. Her main duties included: teaching in the classroom, coaching other teachers to improve teaching and learning standards, and outreach work across Bradford, working to develop Science curriculums following reforms.
Hayley is also recognised/accredited as a Specialist Leader in Education and through this role she continues to complete outreach work in Bradford and in schools across the Red Kite Alliance. She is an accredited Coach.
In 2014, Hayley joined Rossett as an Associate Assistant Headteacher where her responsibilities were predominantly around Initial Teacher Training, ECTs and Professional Development. She passed her NPQLTD in 2023.
In 2023, Hayley was promoted to Assistant headteacher for Professional Development. She is passionate about school collaboration and alliance work and enjoys working with a wider network of colleagues to share experiences and expertise.
